Alexander McQueen 2001 SS [VOSS]The show is a tribute to American artist Joel-Peter Witkin’s 1983 photographic work Sanatorium. The whole stage arrangement of the show was like that of a mental hospital. The show was arranged into a closed glass box, and the models were isolated in the glass chamber to play the mysterious “psychopath” with ostentatious body language. In the last shocking scene, the female writer Michelle Olley was wearing a mask and lying naked on the bench. With breathing tubes in their mouths and covered with fluttering black moths, the whole show is, as Witkin says, driven by the need to move towards the light, but first through the darkness. The morbid spirit of the models, the crazy and exaggerated feelings and body movements, and the madlike walk gave people a paradoxical and weird beauty. The colors of the whole show were mainly black, white, red, pink, green and blueThe frequent elements are feathers, clam shells and white bandages.

Based on this show, we launched a sneaker from the same collection, which also pays tribute to American artist Joel-Peter Wutkin’s photography work Sanatorium.
The overall design of the shoes is based on the fabric of the show, the body is wrapped in imitation feather material, which is easier to clean and less brittle, and the bottom design combines the models’ runway appearance, with torn and twisted bandages to show the mental state of the people in the sanitarium
The use of color is also the same as the theme color of the runway ready-to-wear
